                Marry Poker Follet,defines that “the management as the work done through others”.This definition means that a manager responsible for managing an directing others to achieve organizational goals.

Meanwhile, Ricky W. Griffin defines that “management as a process planning,organizing, coordinating and controlling resources to achieve the objectives (goals) to effectively and efficiently”.

                Effective means that the goal can be achieved in accordance with the planning,while efficient means that tasks carried out correctly,organized and in accordance with the schedule in various such as industry,education,health,business,financial and so forth. In other words effectively and efficiently concerns regarding the purpose and duration of a process of how to achieve the goal.

                Management science is a collection of the systematization of knowledge,collected and received the truth. This is evidented by scientific method can be used in problem solving in management. Management as a science the objective-rational, and can be learned by anyone.

                Luther Gullick defines that “management as a field of science that systematically sought to understand why and how humans cooperate to achieve the goals and create a system of cooperation is more beneficial to humanity”. Based on that education and formal training programs indicate that there are certain management principles that can be relied upon.

                As a science, with a very systematic management thorough description of the concepts and practical steps that are ready implementation. Management as a science because it can be learned as well as management science. Art because of the diversity of creativity of a person’s skills. Management as a proffesion because management can be used as a careers.
